OTP Junior — Youth Banking App for Ages 11–18
Overview
OTP Junior is a gamified mobile banking app designed for teenagers aged 11–18, combining real financial management with interactive education, parental controls, and rewards to build financial literacy from an early age.
Project brief
Design an intuitive banking app that simplifies money management for young users, incorporates financial education through quizzes and mini-games, and gives parents visibility and control without making it feel like a boring banking product.
Role
As a product designer in a 3-person team, I contributed to UX research, competitor analysis, feature prioritization, wireframing, branding, and high-fidelity UI design during an Ideathon Sprint.
Methods
- User interviews and surveys with 60+ respondents aged 11–18.
- Eisenhower matrix for feature prioritization.
- Competitor analysis of GoHenry and Copper Banking.
- Gamification mechanics, including badges, rewards, saving goals, and social score, to drive engagement and financial habit formation.
