Client Overview:

Protagonist.rs, a leading distributor of innovative wall panels in Serbia, recognized the need to establish a stronger online presence. Despite their offline success, they aimed to create a digital catalogue that not only showcased their extensive collection but also reflected their brand's elegance and sophistication.

Challenges:
Protagonist.rs faced several challenges in their quest to establish a digital presence.
Offline Dominance: While successful offline, Protagonist needed to translate their brand experience into the digital realm.

Limited Online Capabilities: They were not yet ready for online sales but desired a platform to display their products and build brand credibility.

Complex Product Catalogue: With a massive collection of wall panels, organizing and presenting the products in an intuitive manner was crucial.
Research Phase:
I sat down with Protagonist's CEO to understand their goals, target audience, and brand identity. Through our discussions, I gained insights into their aspirations and the essence they wanted their website to convey.
Following our conversations, I delved into researching Protagonist's competitors and analyzing industry trends. This deep dive allowed me to identify opportunities for Protagonist to differentiate itself and stand out in the market. Turns out, they are first in Serbia, so there wasn't really competition, but big risk that other "instagram resellers" would use website or pictures from website as their "social proof".

User Persona Development:
Drawing from my research and discussions, I crafted personas that represented Protagonist's diverse audience, including interior designers, architects, and homeowners. These personas provided a human touch, helping me empathize with the needs and preferences of Protagonist's potential customers.
By understanding the motivations and pain points of each persona, I gained valuable insights that guided my design decisions throughout the project.

Information Architecture:
Armed with a clear understanding of Protagonist's audience and goals, I developed a site map to organize the extensive product catalogue in a logical and user-friendly manner. This hierarchical structure ensured that visitors could easily navigate the website and find the information they needed without feeling overwhelmed.
Using the site map as a guide, I created wireframes that outlined the website's structure and navigation. These wireframes served as blueprints, allowing me to visualize the layout and flow of the website before diving into the visual design phase.
Design Phase:
Drawing inspiration from Protagonist's brand identity and the elegant aesthetic they aimed to embody, I developed a comprehensive branding package. This package included elements such as logo design, color palette, and typography, all carefully curated to reflect Protagonist's sophistication and luxury.
With the branding established, I focused on designing a clean and minimalist interface for the website. I selected high-quality imagery to showcase Protagonist's wall panels effectively, ensuring that each product was presented in its best light.
To validate my design decisions and refine the user experience further, I built interactive prototypes of the website. These prototypes allowed me to test navigation, usability, and visual appeal, ensuring that the final product would meet the needs of Protagonist's audience seamlessly.
Content Management:
Due to budget constraints, I decided to use WooCommerce's built-in features for Protagonist's website. This decision allowed for efficient management of the product catalogue, inventory, and orders within a familiar interface. While custom development wasn't feasible, leveraging WooCommerce provided a cost-effective solution that met Protagonist's immediate needs.
Moving forward, they have the flexibility to explore custom development options as their business grows.
Website is still in development, but feel free to see branding that i did for it:
